NCCBT Committees & Responsibilities

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee

    • Helps establish NCCBT Diversity, Inclusion and Equity (DEI) policies to ensure all members feel valued, supported, and seen
    • Reviews and evaluates all member services through a DEI lens and recommends improvements, as needed, to the Leadership Committee and Committee Chairs

Educational Series Committee

    • Works with San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy (SFBACCT) to maintain CE Provider status, provides CEs, and ensures all reporting requirements are met for the California Psychological Association (CPA)
    • Develops and maintains list of topics and speakers of interest
    • Proposes event format (webinar or in-person workshop)
    • Secures speaker, volunteers, dates, and contract 
    • Identifies, secures workshop venue and caterers and serves as liaison
    • Gives speaker guidelines on the target audience
    • Facilitates speaker
    • Manages events: volunteers, introductions, support roles
    • Ensures collection of registration fees and payment of speaker, vendors, etc.

Finance Committee

    • Oversees all NCCBT income and expenses
    • Manages bookkeeper and tax accountant

Membership Committee

    • Oversees Clinical Directory and Google Group management
    • Evaluates, maintains and/or helps increase member engagement
    • Membership and Google Group content troubleshooting

Social Networking Events Committee

    • Researches options for online and in-person networking events (including informal gatherings)
    • Maintains list of networking event options
    • Proposes options to Leadership Committee for approval
    • Secures dates, venues, vendors, contracts and manages events
